German tuner GAD has released an upgrade program for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The most powerful CLS 63 AMG is the one fitted with the optional AMG Performance Package that lifts output to 558 HP (410 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. If this isn’t enough, GAD can increase the engine output to an impressive 803 HP (590 kW) and 1149 Nm (847 lb-ft). To provide the additional horsepower they had to enlarge the turbochargers by 30 percent, install a new custom exhaust manifold with downpipe and sport catalyst. In addition, an optimized intercooler and updated fuel and ignition systems are also part of the package. GAD also mentions a higher top speed without mentioning a figure, but at least we know that it’s more than the 186 mph (299 km/h) achieved by the AMG Performance Package-fitted model.
A custom Ford GT has managed to hit 283.232 mph (455.82 km/h) in a standing mile at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on NASA’s Shuttle Landing Facility runway. Created by Performance Power Racing, this heavily modified street-legal Ford GT features two turbos and various components made from “pandalloy”. This is an aerospace aluminum alloy developed in collaboration with Pratt & Whitney which is perfect for racing applications thanks to characteristics like reduced weight, high strength and temperature resistance. Pumping out 1,700 hp (1267 kW), this Ford GT has set the Guinness World Record for top speed in a street-legal car by reaching a Tag Heuer-measured 283.232 mph in 5,280 feet (1,609 meters).

Hamann's McLaren MP4-12C based memoR has been given the art car treatment to make "grass-green Porsches, neon yellow Lamborghinis and even luminous red Ferraris" fade into the background. Described as "magnificent haute couture," the multi-colored model has an aerodynamic body kit that draws inspiration from the McLaren F1. It features a new front bumper with LED daytime running lights, a front splitter and a roof-mounted air intake. There's also revised side skirts, an extended diffuser, a prominent rear wing and 21-inch aluminum wheels. The styling kit is priced from €95,000 ($123,225) which sounds pretty expensive since it doesn't appear to include any performance upgrades.
